laloma cemetery tour

The La Loma Catholic Cemetery (Campo Santo de La Loma) was opened in 1884 and is located mostly in the city of Manila and the northwestern part to Caloocan. the oldest cemetery in Manila with an area of slightly less than 54 hectares (130 acres). It was opened in 1884 and was originally known as Cementerio de Binondo .
Campo Santo de La Loma is one of the few sites that escaped ruin during World War II in the 1945 Battle of Manila where most of the city’s collection of architecture was destroyed.
Me and my friend Lawrence decided to drop by one saturday  afternoon for a tour. and here are the pics I took.

Chapel of St. Pancratius

There would be another one as Lawrence is organizing another cemetery tour, follow him and walk with Chan.

  1. Who would have thought that a cemetery can be a place to tour in? Nice idea. I should probably go looking for a cemetery to visit ;-)
