The holiday tables have been cleared, and the gifts have been unwrapped.
Yet as we gather with family and friends to celebrate the end of one year
and the hopeful beginning of another, we don’t reflect on the items that
were given and received or the dishes served at dinner. as the first day of
the year begins. I would like to reflect on what happened the past year.
Last Sunday I was lucky enough to be invited to the 82nd anniversary of AFP
at The Fort. by my friend Jenny. I woke up early and traveled to
Herman's place so we could all be in one car. Because parking would be
very hard.. this is my first time to attend an anniversary of AFP in Fort Bonifacio.
Bulacan has fast become an ideal tourist destination, its vital role in
Philippine history, and its rich heritage , its historical sites; grand old
houses ,churches and culture.... ecological & religious attractions; and
the colorful and enchanting festival. the fiestas. thanks sir Meng for
letting everyone of us experience the unique hospitality Happy Christmas
sir!
In the Philippines a fiesta is usually celebrated in barrios or barangays.
It is the official holiday of the LGU, the barangay. Filipinos love fiestas.
It is a time for joy and celebration. A fiesta is of Spanish origin and is
usually commemorated in association with a christian patron saint.
a Willy's Jeep with Meng's house in the background
after watching the fiesta, we visited a 300 yr old house of Meng's tito.
it is restored magically. hands down to the restoration work. the house
is a real beauty inside out.
sir Meng is really hospitable this is the first time friends from AHP joined and
celebrated a unique fiesta at Angat.
Foods, party, and thanksgiving! Pinoys are known for their hospitality and that day
we all experienced that. we were invited by neighbors people we just met for the
first time. invited to dine and party with them. this wont happen in Manila. as people
don't trust each other.
After we visited Meng's tito, we went straight home. I really enjoyed this gathering
with my AHP friends. and I know this will be the last time we all see each other for
this year. I will miss them. I wont be able to attend the Christmas party happening
the next day. well there is always next yr.
my blog ends here, next wk, will be the Christmas TOYCON. see you boys and
I have a high hairline, I got hereditary thinning. in
short, I'm bald at my age. and this is how I looked like without my cap.
and that has always been my problem, aside from an incomplete teeth.
I've done my research. and there is little doubt that there is much change in the
field of hair loss research.
Yesterday concludes the 3 day stamp exhibit the first after 21 yrs...

After the 3 day event.... we all discovered a lot of things...
The life and death of Andres Bonifacio were filled with tragedy as well as mystery
Andres Bonifacio (1863-1897) a Philippine revolutionary leader / founder of the
Katipunan, was also a great admirer of Rizal. He led the revolution in its early stages;
until 2 factions were formed within the group. Magdalo and Magdiwang. and that is
the start of this tragic story in our history. and the start of part 2 of AHP's educational
photo-walking tour this time titled: "LAKBAY NG SUPREMO" A Heroe's journey.
In the early days, Transportation in the Philippines is relatively underdeveloped,
partly due to the country's mountainous areas and scattered islands, and because
of the government's persistent under investment in the nation's infrastructure.
the first car association, the Philippine motor Association was established in
1931, which always campaigned for road safety.
I looked forward to this day with eagerness as I had been longing for the nightmare
of this stressful month of September to end as quickly as it started.
the mid autumn festival dice game (Pua Tiong Chiu) is a special time of year when
beauty, entertainment, happiness, and the values of our Chinese culture are combined.
In my experience at the Moon festival,( no , its the mid autumn festival) held in
13 ubay st. in Retiro QC just last Sunday the 1st day of October,
I saw all that and much more.
The joyous clang of dice colliding with big bowls can often be heard around
the end of this month....enjoying the dice game or bo bing.(phua pia)
Bo Bing is a traditional gambling game involving six dice, a round bowl and of course moon cakes. Its origins can be traced back to the great general Zheng Chenggong. The game was created as a way to occupy his troops as they waited during the mid-autumn festival before retaking Taiwan from foreign occupation.

Its the first week of August, and I haven't traveled much last few weeks
in a few more weeks ....its not because of the upcoming Month of Ghost.
August 22-Sept 19, which in traditional Chinese practice, is not an auspicious
time to start a new business or make a new investment or join a new venture.
its also the month to avoid getting married (hahaha) or celebrating birthdays at night.
(weird eh? ) It is said that birthdays shouldn't be celebrated at all! also not a good
time to move to a new residence.
this blog is.... a lil too late, sorry. last June 17, I thought its going to be a regular
working routine for me at my computer shop, because its already late and I
have an injured finger, and so I thought of staying at the shop. but I got a
message with the word "sinagtala", made a google search, then I replied.
I'm IN. even with an injured finger hahaha. so this is my story.

a place that her rider friends mentioned. a breathtaking place found in Orani,
Bataan at Brgy. Tala which is located on the slopes on Mt. Natib.

the home of various living corals. a town near a bay near a buluarte with
gray sand, rocks and living corals., a town where coconut trees is all around
and mountains untouched and protected by a very strong group of people that
are living just around the area.

In celebration of International Women’s Month this March, Nutramedica Inc.,
encourages women to speak their mind and know their rights.
Be it in society or otherwise, women have excelled over the years, creating a
sense of socio-equality that every female across the globe shall be proud of.
This years’ theme is “Be bold for change”, a very subjective manner of
approach to the present era where women are called to lead and influence.
Novuhair calls for the same thrust.
Novuhair empowers the female population by improving their appearance thru
self-help ideas on social media. Channeling their self-esteem and confidence
