ncov pandemic: end of blogging as we knew it?

I woke up one day in March to a message from a friend, informing me of the
community quarantine that is to be implemented in the whole of Luzon.
and I know that day is the start of a new chapter of my life. a life where every
ounce of the coins you have saved will count. a different life, a global event
that will reset every activity known to man. and will destroy  world economies,
collapsing  health system, to enormous proportions since the 2nd World War.
this is the Corona virus pandemic, and this is my story.

this is the story of the Corona virus, originally passed on from infected animal
to a healthy animal, has mutated to infect humans. this virus  started in
Wuhan, in the later months of 2019, spread across the globe after Chinese New
Year Spring festival. the Philippines has its first case early week of March. and
the following week, the govt put the whole of NCR under lock down to save
people and reduce the number of infections spreading.

with this sudden lock down, people are not prepared. the working class was surprised
to loose most of their jobs. the government proposed work from home. but if your
work is not IT related, does not need to create reports, attend virtual meetings,
or does not require the use of computer, or any gadget, this work from home is not
applicable to you, and you loose your job. because most companies give the NO work
NO Pay rule. so money discipline can save you  in this crisis, as all financial planner have
thought us. we need to have  an emergency savings. because this will save your ass
from becoming the NEW POOR.

so the government made a sudden lock down order saving a lot of people from getting
infected, to control the spread, as of this writing the Philippines has less than 5000 cases.
just in the first month. while other countries has  around 21k infected on  the same month
without the quarantine/ lock down.

the figure would have been in the tens of thousands if the government did not
tell the people to stay home and follow the lock down order recommended by
 the health department and the inter agency task force on infectious deceases.
since March 14 up until now, Luzon has been on lock down.
(the community quarantine was announced March 12  a ay after my friends'
birthday, took effect on the 15th. but as number of cases increased, the govt.
announced an enhanced community quarantine, on the 16th which took effect on
the 17th .. everyone listed to the IATF, and in less than a week, the pandemic has
closed down holy sites, holy structures, assemblies, gatherings, it has closed down
business of all kinds except those essential to survival.travel and travel planning
has been disrupted. oil prices went down to 26.00, and travel to the whole stretch
of the main highway EDSA, has been reduced to a mere twenty minutes normal
driving.

for the middle class citizens, only those who have saved for an emergency fund can
survive with 0000 income, the possibility of  loosing a permanent job, and  still
cope up with paying bills ,rent, and other operating expenses after the lock down.
because the middle class wont be given cash aid by the govt. because we are not
qualified.

for the well off class, like the garments factories , they shift to making mask, while
liquor  companies shift to making sanitizers, alcohol, laminating companies shift to
making acrylic mask, eco bag making companies shift to making mask also and PPEs.
food companies gave food  rations to front liners, private citizens donate,  its called
BAYANIHAN, and majority of the well off businessman and netizens are participating.

almost all business are not functioning except  those who bring the essentials for
community survival. that said, companies cannot hire bloggers , influence rs any longer.
no travels, no new products to introduce. even Catholic activities like palm sunday
pass over and holy week is not commemorated since the 2nd world war.

its a global health emergency of a magnitude not seen in 100 years. unless a vaccine is
developed. I kept on repeating if there is no vaccine, or cure, this health emergency
will keep coming back annually. how long will this end?? 19 months?  when a cure or
some vaccine is developed? this is not a time of division, this is  a race, and if the world
is not quick enough, this may mutate to a more deadlier strain like staying airborne for
8 hrs just like measles.


there is still 20+ days before the ECQ ends I really don't know what to expect  in the days
to come. most communities are closed, prices of oil went down to 26.00 but there is no
where you can go.  the question on everyone's mind is "Who is next?" or "AM I NEXT?"


while there are still no known vaccine or cute for this virus. it will get back. every year
it may infect again, and if no cure is available, we may have this %$#$%#@$ lock down
every year, just like the annual town fiestas, Valentines, Christmas and new year.
stay at home. this will be over. and when this is thru, mask will be an accessory you
would see in malls. and everywhere, it will be as common as your phone charger.

the ECQ is supposed to end after Easter 2020 but, its extended til April 30.
if everyone behaves.

the holy week just passed by and some may hardly notice it.
have a solemn Easter this year.
