PHIVOLCS released on last week Tuesday the Valley Fault System Atlas, an 84MB file
which I downloaded.  its a detailed large-scale maps that illustrates the areas that are near
an earthquake  fault.

After this, traditional and social media  started warning people that the West Valley Fault
is now ripe. and a big earthquake may occur either in our lifetime or the next 50-100 years.



The West Valley Fault could possibly generate a magnitude higher than 7 earthquake.
we know this is disastrous when it hit Manila, particularly Chinatown where theres
almost no open spaces for escape. and Makati Ortigas, wherein a falling building
will cause death from soffocation and debry to people on the ground.
aside from the possible list of structures on fire that no firetruck can get into, there is
a possibility of a Tsunami for areas near coastlines if the magnitude will be greater
than 7.5.

The VFS is composed of two segments: the East Valley Fault running through Rizal,
and the West Valley Fault, running through Bulacan, Rizal, Metro Manila, Cavite,

When the quake hits, imagine:
1) No mobile phones will work.
2) No electricity.
3) Up to 40% of buildings will be damaged.
4) The bridges that cross Pasig may be down.
5) Chaos.

let us not Panic, because this may not happen in our lifetime. We dont get prepared.
because this happens without warning. all we needed to know is
the triangle of life.  not the traditional lie down under a table that we are taught when
we were kids.
